A Terrible Sight For A Sober Man
While wandering around Town Square in Jackson Hole, I stopped by a furrier, and I saw something that forced me to recompile my internal world map -
Fur Jockstraps.
Now, in your little corner of America, the Episcopalian priest might wear fur jockstraps outside of his vestments while celebrating the Eucharist, but not so in Flat Red Clay, Alabama.
The pretty young girl with the East European accent who was minding the store was quick to point out to me that these are intended to be "just for fun" - so I spent some time imagining wearing my spanky new Fur Jockstrap while playing beach volleyball, or during a vigorous game of Scrabble, and the visualizations failed me - then I think I sort of picked up a vague hint of a notion that that was not the type of "fun" that she was talking about.
Another question that sort of grabbed me was - if you're wearing the fur jockstrap UNDERNEATH your pants, should the tail be extended over the top and rear of said britches?
This left me with this interesting scenario - so my co-workers see on my blog that I've bought a fur jockstrap - if so, then, when I'm walking around the office, would they all be looking at me out of the corner of their eyes, and muttering to themselves... "so, you don't suppose he's, you know, wearing that, you know...is he?"
(I can tell you that, when I called Ethel to ask her if she was interested in the matching fur bra and panties, her answer wasn't "yes" or "no" - it was "Huh? ITCHY!" : )
So, among the many things that I brought home from Jackson Hole, a fur jockstrap was NOT among them.
But, if anyone can find a nice non-itchy fur bra and panties, then just think - "A Christmas idea for Ethel...hmmm".....
