Nope, That's Not In The Dress Code
Last night, I grabbed my pants out of my already-loaded running bag, as I thought that I was taking Ethel out to eat dinner - but she decided not to go, as she wanted to stay home and watch the monsoon (that didn't happen).
However, I forgot to put the pants back in the bag.

I've got my work shirt and shoes, just no pants.
This is the second time that this has happened to me since I came to Go Daddy - no, wait. It's the third time.
However, the first time, I was wearing compression shorts that are long enough that they are allowable under the (very liberal) dress code; the next time, I had to stop and buy a pair of shorts, but circumstances that time allowed me to change clothes before coming in to the office.
I changed right after my friend Jason took this picture - however, I had had to go to the periodontist's office in the meantime. I'm probably the first person that he's had in his dental chair in running shorts this week.
The perio news was bad - thousands of dollars. And I'm going to lose two teeth.
Some of the other work that he's going to do involves bone grafts in my jaw - and he's going to be using cow bone. From - get this - Swiss cows. I don't know why the nationality of the cows is important - perhaps it helps with the transplant; since the Swiss are neutral, maybe the body doesn't reject the tissue.
Ethel's sure that it has something to do with Swiss cows making milk that is used in Swiss chocolate.
So I'm going to give them thousands of dollars and two teeth, and they're going to give me a few grams of Swiss cow bone. But I also got a coffee cup with the periodontist's name on it.. That's important.

What didn't happen? The monsoon or the watching of the monsoon?
Brigitte had similar surgery to fix her gums but they grafted tissue from the roof of her mouth onto her gums. It was extremely painful and if you're planning any weight loss in the future, wait until you have the surgery. You won't eat anything but gruel for a week or so.

Marc - I had that same surgery. Yep it hurts. Sad to say it did not give a permanent fix and now it needs to be done again. The memory of the pain is keeping the phone firmly planted in the cradle, no calls to my dentist.
