Have you ever felt like this?
I saw this in a Holly Anderson blog entry on EDSBS. Doesn't matter how many times I see it, it still makes me laugh:

I sort of looked like that the time that Ethel said "Well, I'm glad that we found that out the day before tomorrow".
It's just another day in Arizona. It shouldn't get past 106 F today - that's only 101 F up at th e Chocolate House. Silas is in school at Glendale Community College, Ethel is working at the house, I ran in North Scott$dale this morning and lifted at my gym. It's Just Another Day. There's really nothing to talk about.
It looks like I'm heading up to Colorado this weekend - and it's possible that I'll be going alone. Ethel says that she needs to work. It would be weird, driving all of that way alone - I haven't done that since I left Park CIty and came down here a month ahead of Ethel and Silas.
Lemme check...checking - no, still nothing to talk about. But I figured that I'd give it a try, anyway.
We're currently in season 2 of Angel. I've decided that I like it; I like it very much, but it ain't Buffy. Ethel says that she likes it better than Buffy, but Ethel's just trying to get my goat.
Nope...still have nothing to say.
I will be doing the Imogene Pass run, after all. I had decided that, since I was laid low by the motorcycle wreck, I wouldn't try to do that race, and hooked up with Patrick a couple of weeks ago to tell him that. By the time Patrick and I had finished eight miles, not only had I agreed to do Imogene, but also agreed that, if that went well, we'd do North Rim to South Rim after we came home. Patrick is a bad influence.
Nothing to say...nothing really going on.
I'm giving up now. I've tried.
(The bad thing about the question shown in the above photo is that it's a trick question - that volcano is big enough, and Reykjavic, Kopavogur, and Hafnarfjorour are close enough together, that there IS no definitive answer there (although Kopavogur is probably closest to the caldera) - worse still, Fjaroabyggo isn't even a city, but more of a county-like municipality. Darn game shows. How would you answer without being given definite latitude/longitudes? - besides, that's a superfluous comma.)

Jim said: "besides, that's a superfluous comma".
I thought I was the only one who noticed things like that. Grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors always seem to just jump out at me from the page (or in this case the screen).
I especially hate superflous commas. Good to know there are others out there.

Commas I can live with. Apostrophe's, however, really make me crazy, especially when they are used to indicate plurals. (And moreso when they are being used to indicate plurals for acronyms, such as "CPA's" : )

Add me to the list, of tho'se who hate, like, superfluous comma's and apostrophe's. Maybe Im feelin particularly crotchety cos Im being force'd to make big decisions. I hate having to make decisions about myself. And each time I think, Ive made the final decision the other party, tries to throw more money at me. It should be a good feeling' but it aint. Its annoying. Like comma's and apostrophes.
