Gratitude Challenge, Day Two

Today is Day Two of the Gratitude Challenge, in which I am supposed to "Use the alphabet as a fun and quick format for making a list of things for which you feel grateful".

Okay, let's see how that goes.

First off, though, outside of the format, I'd like to point out that I am grateful for Photoshop opportunities -

This was Monday morning, just after opening at Sunrise - that's the detachable quad in front of the main lodge. Not a lot of folks skiing on Monday morning at Sunrise : )

Last Saturday, I left a question in voicemail for my sponsor - does God love snowboarders? Obviously Sponse is unable to answer the conundrum, as I have yet to get any reply.

Okay, let's try this -

A - the Alabama Crimson Tide will be playing for the national title tomorrow. (I considered saying this twenty-six different ways, using each letter of the alphabet, but decided that a) that wasn't in the spirit of the Challenge, and b) nobody would read it anyway : )
B -   Boarders give me the opportunity to learn the way of "patience, tolerance, kindliness and love".
C - Cell phones. I'm not sure that I believe that the whole of human history really happened; I suspect that everything before cell phones was just a dream, as there is no way that human beings ever lived without 'em.
D - Desperation is what gave me the willingness to do what was necessary, and for that I am eternally grateful.
E -The Elliptical machines at the gym, that let me stay somewhat in shaped when I'm injured.
F -Family, including Floyd and Angela and the ugly baby, and Andrew and his brood : )
G -GoDaddy is a great place to work.
H -Humility is what God teaches me through golf, and through looking around at the gym. It reminds me that I'm not important to anybody but my family, and I'm only important to them because they are my family. N.B. - this has nothing to do with me, for anybody is important to their family.
I -Internet - see above, under Cell Phones. The Internet is the same, only more so.
J -Jesus. You remember Him - He's the fellow that was being quoted by the folks who wrote the books that were used to create the Big Book.
K  as anybody knows, -K stands for Ethel : )
L -Love, which is an unalloyed positive regard - to wish well unreservedly.
M -Momma. Any good Alabama boy knows that he has to be grateful for his Momma!
N -my Network card in my laptop. I can walk around and surf the Web and get email.
O -Overeaters Anonymous.
P -Why, of course, the Pool -that big hole in the backyard that's full of money that we used to have!
Q -Quiet. Folks who know the Puckett family would be amazed if they could hear how much of the time it is completely quiet at our house.
R -Running, even though I can't do much of it right now (see Elliptical, above)
S -Sobriety, without which, nothing.
T - Iced Tea - decaf, preferably.
U -Substantial Unanimity - otherwise, I'd always be trying to get a simple majority (which can happen through bulldozing) rather than waiting for a consensus via substantial unanimity.
V -Six weeks of  Vacation every year. Gotta love working for GoDaddy!
W -Wolf Creek Pass, which is where I hope to retire someday.
X -My Xplode subwoofer amplifier : )
Y -Y - I can't for the life of me think of anything that I'm grateful for that starts with Y except for - maybe - Yellowstone : )
Z -For a while, I wondered what I would put here, until I remembered - of course! My BMW Z3!

Jim, I'm glad you made it up to Sunrise for some skiing. When there is good snow, it is one magical place.
It is awesome that you get to arrange to work from up there a bit and ski in between. Not quite as convenient as in your previous digs, but getting as close as you can in Arizona.
If you do start growing some roots, look up Mike from Ski Patrol and chat with him. If you are interested, I'm sure they'd love to have you.
Oh, btw - I love your workstation with the 4 monitors. What a blast.
Be patient with the pool - it's not like you could use it before May anyway.
    Happy New Year, Jim
