After four months, we have achieved "Permit Issuance" on the permit for our pool.




That means that, as soon as somebody actually picks up the permit down at the county office, they can start digging in my back yard.

This is exciting - according to Ethel, it means that we might be swimming by Christmas.

(You folks will excuse me if I curb my enthusiasm. We intentionally did NOT add a heater to this pool, so swimming by Christmas is not something that I'm looking forward to : )

I'd love to say more about that, but I have to work, as I'm going to leave this afternoon to head down to the Ski Pro ski swap and sale to buy Silas some size 13 ski boots. I'll have to sell some stock - boots that size don't come cheap.
