On Hiatus
Fat Charlie's Diary is going on hiatus for a little while.
The Canyons ski area, in Park City (and seven miles from my old house) has a foot of snow already:
It's that time of year - the snow has started to fall but I can't go skiing, the weather has cooled off but Ethel won't go sailing, and so I go
into a slump.
No reason to bring anybody else down with me, so I'll just not attempt to be in a good humor. So, until my mood improves, I'll just be quiet : )

Hey Jim, were you a politician before you became whatever you currently claim to be? You manage to take a very selfish decision and make it sound as if you are doing us a big favor "No reason to bring anybody else down with me ... So, until my mood improves, I'll just be quiet : )"
What do you think you being quiet does for OUR mood??? Definitely doesn't improve it.
