Somewhere Over The Lunchbox
These days, if'n you're gonna uke, then you have to uke like Iz ukes::

I've been working from home today, and all day long I've had Iz in the background with his "Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World" medley - I think that Silas has just about reached the hair-pulling stage, and Ethel finally said "Enough! Stop with the Somewhere Over The Wonderful World already and go wash the dog's butt!"
(editor's note: as pointed out yesterday, Maia has developed some sort of.....aroma which Ethel is sure must be coming from her hind end, since it's impossible to imagine that sort of smell coming from any other part of a dog that is still alive. Today she decided that I would be appointed Official Buttwasher, and that Silas would be Aide de Dogholder. It's okay, though - I made her do the blow drying).
Currently we have 142 pix that are uploading to our Mahalo gallery from the scuba adventure - eventually I'll write about that. In the meantime, I'll keep trying to figure out what the lyrics are to Iz's version of these songs, as they seem to be completely free-form - it's like he read the original lyrics, and then sort of rearranged the lines without regard to syntax or rhyme scheme -
"Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
The dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true
Some where over the rainbow
Skies are blue
There in a land that I dared to dream of
Once in a lullaby..."
