Take Your Pic
I don't have any new pictures to show you today, as the weather was weird. We spent a lot of time hiding from rain - sometimes sitting on the beach, in a beach chair, underneath a beach towel while waiting for the current three-minute shower to pass.
Now, lemme 'splain - Punalu'u is the wettest place that I've ever been. It's wet, wet, wet - and this is the DRY SEASON.
But today the weather was really weird. Not only did Kaaawa, just south of Punalu'u, have huge waves never seen there before (hitting cars on the Kam Highway), but also TORNADOES ON OAHU.
So we don't have any new pics - I suppose we'll have some tomorrow, as we're going to go scuba diving off the southern coast of Oahu.
So, in the meantime, I have a poll - which picture should I use as my new Facebook profile? This one, which I call "Smoke Manmuscle":

(Long-term readers might recognize the shirt in the Smoke Manmuscle pic from the old Fat Charlie's Diary blog - the very last entry - the shirt in that picture was Silas' blue one, and this is my yellow one)
Is mine the first vote? I vote for the upper one. That is recognisably you. If someone had shown me the lower one in a set of random photos I would have had difficulty recognising you.
A colleague of mine and her family are heading your way for a vacation / to see other family. If you come across a middle-aged woman from North Carolina out kayaking, say hi to Dawn.
