You Win Some, You Lose Some

The reader with nothing better to do will note that I haven't been updating this blog this week. This is because I have been

a) moving into the new house in New River - toting furniture and boxes, digging holes for cacti, and going to be d exhausted,

...OR...

b) sitting around on my big fat patushka eating BonBons and watching soap operas while Ethel and Silas do all the work.

(the correct answer is left as an exercise for the student, assuming the student isn't missing a Y chromosome.)

The above is our great room, as of this morning, as seen from the dining area. OUr stuff really seems to fit here; the great room looks better with our stuff than it did without it:

Ethel says that it looks like we were buying furniture for this house the whole time, and didn't even know it.

So the great room (and parlor, and many other areas of the house) are looking very good indeed. However, as these rooms are improving, the garage has reached maximum entropy:

...The entropy is, actually, at maximum; if we were to put anything else into this garage, we would first have to organize it, thus reducing the level of disorder.

So the inside of the house is looking better and better, while the garage gets worse. (I told Silas to install our HydraLofts - do you see that big grate in the front of the garage? that's a Hydraloft. It's a shelf that hangs down from the roof of the garage; when the Hydralofts, are installed, then many of the items that are now on the garage FLOOR will be hanging from the ceiling....anyway, the last time I checked, Silas wasn't yet doing that particular chore; instead, he was busy. Catching up. On old Fat Charlie posts :)

I would love to sit and type and tell you folks all about the new place, and the neighborhood, and going for early morning runs in the Tonto National Forest, but I don't have time right now - my soaps are starting, and I have to open a new box of bon-bons.
