You've gotta wonder what could cause a moose to turn white. I suspect that it's a congenital condition - I don't care what Freddy Mercury and Queen say, a little silhouette-o of a man will NOT scare a moose, scare a moose, will you do the fandango?...and, even if you COULD scare a moose, I can't imagine that you could scare one that bad.
I don't want to spend too much time talking about this - it's Lent, and I've given up over-whining about my recent geographic change until after Easter (but not all that recent - yesterday was 1000 days since I moved to Arizona). And when I look at this picture, it's easy for me to go into an emotional spiral, smoke streaming out my tail, and wind up augering in, crashing against a hillside of reality. So I'll just avoid reality - as Elwood P. Dowd said, "Doctor, for years I struggled with reality, and I'm glad to say that I finally won out."

My father-in-law is packing today, getting ready to fly back up to the frozen tundra wasteland Indiana tomorrow. They have snow in Indiana, but not enough, and they do not have moosen (plural of moose (okay, it's just my plural. But adding an -en is a German way of creating plurals of nouns, and if there was ever a word that sounded German, it's "moose" (as Silas quoted somebody as saying, "German isn't a language so much as a head cold" (yes, that was a triply-parenthetical statement - it was, that is, until I added this, making it quadruplicately-parenthetical : ))))
