Fat Charlie's Diary Has A New Home
Ethel sets a nice table, doesn't she? Our Christmas place settings included her grandmother's china (Nakitomi Gold, or something like that - wait a minute. Wasn't the Nakitomi Building the skyscraper in Die Hard?) and her great-grandmother's silver.
Okay, after much popular demand (okay, a few mumbled comments) I have now dragged Fat Charlie's Diary into the 20th century.
I'm not happy about this, but I am excited. (Which is, of course, a shame - I'm much better off when I am happy, and NOT excited. In fact, the Big Book states that, if I am doing the Eleventh Step properly, then I will be "..in much less danger of excitement..." - well, it's my own fault, for not doing the Eleventh Step properly.
Of course, had I done the Eleventh Step properly - had I "sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, asking only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out", I wouldn't be in Arizona right now; I would have heard Him telling me "Jim! Don't do it! Don't go to Arizona! Stay here in Utah! I won't be able to find you in Phoenix - I don't go there!" -- but I'm afraid that I wasn't paying attention at the time.
At any rate - I hope you folks like this new home for Fat Charlie's Diary. And, if you don't, then just tell me so, and I'll make things the way that they used to be. I have many other areas of my life in which I could just have "do overs" or (as they are called in golf) "mulligans" - decisions that I could "unmake". I can unmake this one, with no trouble
(BTW - I'll be adding an email link and links to old posts before too long - I'm sort of busy today)

It went up last Friday; I didn't mention it on JSN, because I sort of figured that you folks would find it anyway :) -- are you saying that the china is Noritaki, or that the Japanese are Noritaki?...come to think of it, how can you have china with a Japanese name?
